Boston has 5 in 1st by voters: Youkilis, Pedroia, Varitek, Ramirez, Ortiz
Yankees: Jeter, Rodriguez

JOSH HAMILTON needs to be in 1st place he is tearing up the AL in every stat HR, AVG, RBI and he gets little votes this thing is by popular players.

The fact that 130,139 people voted for Julio Lugo is almost enough to make me stop watching baseball entirely.

It's a joke as usual.

Still time for people to come to their senses though.

I am a big Jeter fan but I dont think he is worthy of an All Star player this year. .282, 2, 24 RBI.

It is basically same players every year.

NL Votes will be posted tomorrow or as soon as they are up on MLB.com

every team gets an All Star right?

I'm an A's fan and we're having a good year as a team...

but I dont know who we're gonna send, no one is even close to deserving...

Josh Hamilton should be a starter.

Kinsler has a strong case...

And unless they've got him listed in the OF, Milton Bradley has been the best DH in baseball this year.

Kinsler is definetly deserving more than any 2b listed he has .294/ 7 HR / 32 RBI

All the other 2nd baseman have less than 3 hrs and way below .300 AVG

I hope people vote against all these Red Sox bandwagon fans

THE BASEBALL WORLD NEEDS TO RECOGNIZE RYAN ZIMMERMAN. the best young playerin baseball/best defensive player in baseball isn't even one of the top 5 vote getters. ty wiggington and bill hall? really?

guzy could also make an all-star case.

sadly, unless i single handedly vote enough to get zimmerman in, our all-star is gonna be tim redding.

Thanks for posting the NL votes didnt know it was already put up

No way is Zimmerman better than Chipper, Wright. Zimmerman is not on the same level as those 2 third baseman

Let's not act like Zimmerman's production is exactly on another level from the two guys you singled out... He's only hitting .255with an OPB under .300 and OPS around .720...

Best young player in baseball?

@All of the Red Sox starters we're gonna have on the home team in Yankee Stadium.

Jorge needs to move up and overtake Varitek.

Red Sox fans are going HARD with the voting.

well, i just maxed out my voting for the day. first thing when i wake up everyday until voting closes, i will max outmy voting. all i gotta do is make up e-mails. i am making it my mission to single handedly send ryan zimmerman to the all star game!

Pedroia, Youk, and Manny deserve to start. A-Rod and Jeter...nah. Michael Young should start SS as of right now.

at least the NL infield looks good. Brandon Phillips should be third behind Utley and Uggla.

McLovin needs to be starting in the OF.

Fukudome? get outta here.

This is nothing more than a popularity contest, same as all in sports.

No big deal.

whether y'all like it or not...this goes to show how much people really care about the "Yanks and the Sawx"

ain't no one to blame but yourselves on this one. (to those who whine about their team/players not receiving enough attention)

exactly

I knew this was gonna happen.

But it could've been worse.

I was afraid that no Yankee was gonna start this years ASG at home.

Im not a Hamilton fan, to be honest I didnt know who he was 'til a couple of months ago, but how in hell is he not starting in the ASG with numbers likethat. And what about Quentin?

This is horrible.

Have they said what players are joining the HR Derby?

Always happens, always will.

I doubt J. Hamilton will be voted as a starter by the fans, but he will be an AS regardless.

Jorge needs to move up and overtake Varitek.
Ya that whole 18 games he's played in this season should do it

Mauer needs to overtake these geezers and become a mainstay

I am sorry, I have Ryan Zimmerman on my fantasy squad, and he is NOT NEARLY as good as you say he is. Yes he is very young with room for improvement, but giveme a break. He SHOULD NOT be an all star. Kevin Kouzmanoff is having a better season than Zim is....and Kouz is no where near all star level. Best young playerin baseball
roll.gif
. Cut that out. Consider yourself lucky Braun moved to the outfield.

Here is a list of third baseman in the NL more deserving than Zim this year:
Chipper Jones
David Wright
Aramis Ramirez
Bill Hall
Kevin Kouzmanoff
Garret Atkins
Jorge Cantu

Thats 7 NL third basemen having better seasons. And there is a list of about 4 or so players who he is having similar years with (Feliz, Encarnacion,Reynolds,). And I didnt even mention AL players. Zimmerman is and will be nothing more than an average third baseman. Last year was supposed to be a break outyear. So was this year.....will it ever happen?
