arent the wizards up for sale? im pretty sure grunfield been told to dump salaries (he probably wont be back with the team). btw, where would dallas be in terms of money for 2010 if they pick up caron's contract?

^Not sure but i think that they will still have enough money to be able to get a pretty decent player this summer.

I understand that the Wizards management is being forced to make a move, but they needed to get actual assets for Butler. Jamison can probably only hope to return expirings, but Butler should've commanded a mid 1st rounder or a young talent. AND they gave up Haywood. I bet they could've even received assets for a team looking for help at C for Haywood. It's just an embarrassing trade for the franchise.

Not true. Cleveland and Dallas would have to do a sign and trade to make it work if LeBron really wanted to come here, but the Mavs have Dampier's contract (which is the key to all of Dallas' offseason moves), plus Roddy Beaubois, and others that could be traded to even out money wise. If they make the trade with the Wizards and get Haywood, his contract is up after this season also.

Dampiers contract lets Dallas sign anyone.
Also Dirk has said if it helps Dallas sign more players, he will opt out and take less money.
