To be inducted into the Pro football Hall of Fame an inductee must garner 80% of votes of 44 member Select Committee. A HOF class can have a minimum of 4 players and a maximum of 7 seven players with only 5 of them being modern-era players.

Here's my list:

Emmitt Smith
Jerry Rice
Charles Haley
$%$! Lebeau
Cris Carter

EDIT:

2010 Hall of Fame Class

1. Russ Grim
2. *!%# Lebeau
3. Floyd Little
4. John Randle
5. Ricky Jackson
6. Emmitt Smith
7. Jerry Rice

Heard they making a real push for Ricky Jackson to get in. Might be a Saints thing lol.

Jerry Rice, Russ Grimm, John Randle, Emmitt Smith and Rickey Jackson made the list of five final candidates for enshrinement in the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

Of the five, only those receiving 80 percent approval from the committee will qualify for enshrinement. Those results are scheduled to be announced on NFL Network about 25 minutes into a program that begins at 5 p.m. ET.

Cortez Kennedy, Richard Dent, Dermontti Dawson, Andre Reed and Shannon Sharpe survived the cut from 15 to 10 finalists. Charles Haley, Roger Craig, Cris Carter, Don Coryell and Tim Brown were eliminated in the cut from 15 to 10 finalists.

these dudes have it in for cris carter big time. no way andre reed should be getting further than carter or tim brown.

I edited my original post with the 2010 class.

Emmitt and Jerry.

I'm suprised John Randle made it in ahead of Charles Haley; he was deserving though.

Cris Carter and Shannon Sharpe not getting in.

Cris Carter is probably my favorite Buckeye ever and I can't stand them.

Andre Reed over him?

...I guess playing in Super Bowls really means THAT much to these dudes.

So happy about LeBeau, amazing and about time, now time to get a trip planned

Do they hold Carter's drug issues in the past against him?

It's BS that he wasn't 1st ballot in my opinion. He is second to Rice in most major receiving categories.

He turned his life around after his early problems with the Eagles. Hell they have him council rookies about what to lookout for entering the league.

He deserves to be in the Hall.

I think they were trying to even the offense and defense count. Although Cris Carter is more of HOFer than Rickey Jackson

Cris Carter: 1,101 catches. 13,899 yards. 130 touchdowns.

What a damn joke.

Carter and Brown should be in next year.

Jerry and Emmitt 1st ballot-ers
