Noah is still way better than Andy.

Not like he's been sidelined with a knee thing, it's a shoulder, shouldn't make him any more washed than he was.

would anybody be opposed to me making the offseason thread or should we just use this one

The Warriors should sign Pops Mensah Bonsu. If he doesn't want to come from whatever team he is playing for in Bolivia, call Marcus Haislip (joking here, semi on the first one).

But for serious, take a flyer on Perry Jones and see if you can get James Johnson (I'd rather the Thunder do but I doubt it) for the tax payer MLE

You could tell Barnes kick rocks and try to get a Batum or Wes Matthews.

I'm intrigued by what the Clippers can do this offseason.

How do they upgrade the SF position?
They'll probably overpay and retain Jeff Green and bring back either WeJo or Mbah Amoute.

And tbh I'm totally fine with that. Jeff Green isn't anything special, but his high points are higher than anything the Clips have had at that position and he's the best the Clips can get.

Regardless, I felt like the SF position wasn't that big of an issue for LAC between Jeff / Luc / WeJo. That wasn't the issue for the Clippers.

Marvin "I got drafted before CP3 and Deron" Williams still out there for teams needing a 3/4 too. Did Charlotte pick up Lamb's option? Someone needs to make him into a player. Jeremy Lin is a fa too, wonder where his head is at

Move DJ for a wing, go cheap-mid level on a center? sounds better in theory
Don't agree with that at all. DJ was fantastic for LAC, and was the quaterback for a top 6 defense in the NBA last season.

The bigger issue for LAC isn't the 3, it's the back up 5. I'm feeling less and less confident that they'll retain Cole Aldridch, and he will be hard to replace. Also if Austin Rivers chooses to leave LAC (Which I know for a fact he's considering it strongly.) He'll be tough to replace as well.

In a perfect world, the Clips could bring everyone back and try to run it back. They were elite on both sides of the ball, and that gives you a chance in the postseason, health provided.

@shoeking2102 I don't think any serious winning can be done with Jeff Green starting, he's to inconsistent, its too bad cause he had some real talent
The cavs just won a ring with Iman Shumpert, Richard Jefferson, and JR Smith contributing.

Dion Waiters was huge in OKC's WCF run.

All of those guys were deemed Non winning players, too inconsistent as you said, etc.

Like I said in a perfect world LAC would want a better SF at that position but they have 3 max guys. They really can't afford anyone better than Jeff Green. The only reason why they can afford jeff green is because they have his bird rights.

hmmm, I'm all for a consistent roster

But I don't think this roster as constructed can possibly beat the, Thunder or Warriors in the post season

You may be right.

But they were an elite defensive and offensive team last year, which in theory gives you a solid shot at possibly beating the Thunder or the Warriors.

They have a chance If they are fortunate enough to have solid health through the regular season and playoffs.

And even if they can't beat the Thunder or The Warriors they are kind of screwed as far as improving the roster unless they land a homerun with their 25th and 33rd picks in the upcoming draft.

@nickmaz96  I vote to start a new thread for the Offseason instead of keeping it here.

Main reason is for search purposes in the future.

In my past experience it helps when I want to search something from 2 years ago about the Regular Seasaon, that I can type in "NBA Regular Season 2012" and it's there.

If I type in NBA regular season 2012 but the title is changed to "Offseason THread 2012" or whatever, it just makes it a mess.

Just do a new thread, for a new part of the Season.

My only concern if I'm the Clippers is any sort of slip from CP3 and JJ. They should feel great about their roster makeup after seeing the Warriors struggle. They've proven they can hang with any team when healthy.
