So when GSW don't repeat as champions will they get a pass? I can see it now. They lost because their head coach missed half the season. What really pisses me off about GSW is how much the whine when you don't kiss their behind. Steph wanted Mark Jackson to reword his x-mas day statements about youth basketball (which were spot on btw I went to highschool game last Friday and in the 1st half both teams combined to shoot 35 3's and only shot 8 2pt shots) Bogut chimed in too. The fans are a joke too. Whenever GSW wins they are the best thing since pants with pockets. Whenever they lose it's always "We had a off night". It's never the other team played better and beat us. I'll go to my grave saying last years title was a fluke. It was the first time in a very long time a team has jump shot their way to a title. Not to mention every starting pg they played was injured and it took you 6 games to beat LBJ, JR Smith and some borderline d-leaguers. It they win it this year I will give them credit.
I'm not a Cavs fan and I don't cape for athletes. When Reggie Miller retired I stopped being a "fan". I just enjoy the NBA and having level headed conversations.

Reggie Miller seems like a rather arbitrary cut-off.
Reggie moving from the court to the broadcasting booth is a good reason to stop watching basketballReggie Miller seems like a rather arbitrary cut-off.
I thought the exact same thing. Can't say I've ever seen anyone else link their NBA fandom to Reggie Miller.
He was working the post back then like a PF. Not sure why he doesn't do it as often now.Yes and no.
He didn't defend the opposing PF (Shane Battier) but he basically operates it on offense when he has the ball in his hands.
you mean how he as his entire career as a small forward? What makes you even consider him as a 4?
I come to NT for the LeBron slander, CP3 first round jokes, and the Julius Randle - MJ comparisons
How is he a snake??? Sometimes you don't want to over step your boundaries and create division..

During the first portion of the 2014-15 season, film sessions were a topic of discussion among the players. Blatt was reluctant to criticize star players even when they clearly messed up a play. This became routine. It got so bad that I'm told that Lue finally intervened, stood up and demanded that somebody rewind the footage so that he could get on members of The Big 3.
During team scrimmages, players competed aggressively but bit their tongues as Blatt frequently blew his whistle to call ticky-tack or phantom fouls for his go-to players. One player said sometimes Blatt didn't even have a whistle and would yell at the top of his lungs to stop play and call a foul if one of his stars acted as if he was hit.
It was viewed as a blatant attempt to get in the good graces of his top talent. Blatt's leadership was in question. Players grew tired of this treatment. The locker room started resenting Blatt's handling, or lack thereof, when it came to dealing with his stars.
Word circulated to cleveland.com that Blatt had trouble drawing up plays out of timeouts. He would freeze up and waste precious seconds, one player said. He would even draw up plays for players who weren't in the game, another player said.
In the closeout game of the Eastern Conference Finals, a game the Cavaliers trounced the Atlanta Hawks by 30 to sweep the series; Blatt had signaled for Tristan Thompson to reenter in the closing minutes with the game already wrapped up. This was when Thompson was the team's most valuable big man with Kevin Love out of commission with a dislocated shoulder.
The bench couldn't believe it. They were shocked, as was Thompson, who never questions authority. LeBron James told Blatt to put somebody else in the game, out of concern a key cog might get hurt before The Finals, a league source said. Kendrick Perkins got the nod, and a few minutes later, Brendan Haywood's number was called to finish it out.

This can't be true. Blatt has won multiple championships in Euroleague.
YES!!! This is literally what I had in mind!!!!fixed
this thread isfull ofmentally stimulating conversation among very rational basketball fans
Lebron the bad guy...bragging on Blatts Euroleague experience like that has **** to do with the NBA.
The reality is truth is probably somewhere between these rival narratives

Who was "bragging" about it? LOL. Just said the fact that he's been a successful coach for years elsewhere makes it a little hard to believe he can't draw up a play during a timeout. Basketball is basketball. Stands to reason if he can call a play in Israel, he can call a play in the US. So, to me, that about as relevant as these third-hand, after-the-fact claims about his coaching competence. But whatever.
Like you said, the truth is probably in the middle somewhere.
But Lebby is still an entitled baby and the Cavs still not winning the title even with a new coach.
