You heard of the statement great offense always beats great defense. Well the only way to beat a great offense is with a great offense.

Not if your great offense isnt better.  Its just going to be 3 ISO players standing around waiting for the ball.  That offense lacks movement.  Adding an over the hill chucker who cant even take his team to the playoffs in the east isnt going to change that.

Agreed, they need to look at a butler or a avery bradley type acquisition.  Getting an extra 20 points on offense doesnt matter if you give up an extra 30.

Exactly.  Even with a team of Love, Melo, Kyrie, and Lebron im still taking the warriors.  You cant have 4 out of your 5 starters not be able to play a lick of defense and that team isnt going to outscore the Warriors because they even on the same level shooting wise.

Remember when JR and Shump were Melo's best players? Wtf are they doing now. Lets not blame Melo for being surrounded with bums. Over the hill chucker on a bad team? Sure. Add him with Lebron and Kyrie and watch the narrative change. Point is Lebron needs people that can score. Doesnt matter if its through isos or how it comes, the reason the Cavs cant keep up is because that firepower is too much.

There's nothing the Cavs can do to close that gap between them and GS. It's as wide as the grand canyon. They better just prepare for Decision 3.0 in 2018.

Who the hell are the Cavs going to deal to get Melo? Melo can't even defend when push comes to shove. Who will he be on? I love me some Melo, but let's be clear, he's not helping this Cavs team. They'd have to give up a starter for him.

Maybe if you watched 1 knick game you'd see how trash Rose is and how he plays zero defense too. Combine that with running a terrible offensive system. There's a lot of problems with the Knicks that stem way past Melo.

The cavs were damn near last in the league in defense this year in the second half of the year.  It wont matter how many points you score if you give up 1.1 points for every point you score.

They combine to play the minutes you'd give Melo. If any of them are off you can sub them out

Why didn't Lue have Korver in for that last 3. Even as a decoy, I think I would've had him in the game. You don't have one of the greatest 3 point shooters on the bench when you need a 3.
