We see refs bail teams out all the time at the end of the games. It’s so ****in old now, every week it’s someone getting bailed out by a call that’s questionable

No you go for 2 next TD. Game is over if they don’t convert
game is over if they don't convert on the next TD. but if you go early you know how many scores you need and have the foresight to better control the clock

there are also so many factors that work in your favor going for 2. momentum, defenses gassed, etc.

it's just math

Didnt catch either game today til these last 4 min.

Both werent close correct? Essentially this game wasnt as close as the score makes it or am i wrong, Dallas played it close?

And it's the same thing if you get stuffed at the end of the game.

you go for the 2 early. so you know how many scores you need if you convert or not. it's math, plenty of data supports it

Yeah but if they went for two now & failed, it's a 9 point game with 2 minutes left.

Yeah wasn’t as close as it looks.

Rams killed them on 1st downs, rushing yards.

Pretty much everything

Nah you cant go for 2 there if they dont get it then they need the ball twice in 2 min, highly unlikely

if you fail at the end of the game, it's over with no chance to even get that extra score. you go for it now so you know what you need to do.

nick you're an ~analytics guy. you should know the #'s back all this data lol

needing the ball twice in 2 min >>>> needing the ball twice with however much time is left if they actually scored (which is less than 2 min)

knowing you need 2 scores in 2 min >>> scoring with 20 sec left and not converting then having to score again with an onside

it comes down to probability and time management

it's been debated ad nauseum. going for 2 early is +EV

Anderson cant get up all game to save his life

Edit , spoke too soon :wow:
