Melo, Ennis, and MCW play too well, so that’s used as a stain to another possible Harden MVP campaign, with the media pegging the Rockets as a super team

Warriors have a handful of winning streaks, beating their chests and mentioning “we’re back!”, but after losses people claim they were just coasting and toying around and their heads weren’t in the game.

Donovan Mitchell and Jayson Tatum make huge jumps in star status.

Luka brings some shine to the Mavs, even though they still finish with 30 wins.

The NBA gets the Lakers/Warriors playoff matchup they want, after inhaling Lebron the entire year and pegging it as a WCF matchup. But it’s a 1st round matchup, and the Warriors get them out of the way with relative ease 4-1, as the “cerebral” players Lebron wanted heading into the season are a complete disaster. Kuzma and Hart have been traded for Jimmy Butler beforehand. The writing was on the wall.

Dwight Howard and Austin Rivers come to blows in the locker room
