This is so ****ing true. One of the dudes I was watching the game with last night is one of those life long rec center players who slurps Harden so much. Will argue any point you have about the dude. There’s guys that draw fouls when the opportunity is there like when they get somebody in the air, and then there’s guys like Harden and Wade who aren’t even thinking about the shot attempt 90% of the time, they’re just thinking about how they’re going to draw the foul. Embiid is my favorite player but even when he has stretches of games where he tries to do this it annoys the HELL out of me.

The difference in the game was GSW ball movement and the fact that GSW has 3-4 players that share the ball and can occasionally knock down open and contested shots under pressure.

It’s very easy to knock down 3s when you’re up a dozen points but when the other team who happens to be the defending champs makes a run and it’s late in the game and possessions are limited the Rockets had no options other than a contested Harden 3 pointer or an isolation play for him.

That brand of basketball took Houston to the best record in the league and likely an MVP for Harden, but that brand of basketball looks bad when those shots are not falling. That said that brand of ball brought Houston to within a second half of beating GSW. Who knows what can happen if they possibly add a player in free agency.

Making it to the finals 9 straight times and winning 3 or making it to the finals 4 straight times and winning 3?

Something for sure off about those Open/Wide open stats because that Video posted earlier with all the rockets attempts CLEARLY did not show that amount of open threes

Funny thing on one of the reasons why the Rockets won 2 of the 3 games before CP3 got a messed up hammy was that CP3 was able to get grind out buckets in the mid range and the paint when Harden went cold from 3.

Cruel irony. Cp3 be wanting it so bad....and always gets hurt in heroic moments that prevent him from playing pivotal games.

Remember when he’s hit this game winner in game 7 to send the defending champion spurs home.....

You act as if these players don't have families or if they do want to live away from them for extended periods of time.
As far as building playgrounds and such that's just poor financial discipline. Why live somewhere that require you to spend money to improve quality of living? Plenty of cities have it readily available.
Stop thinking money is infinite and will always be available to earn in their profession.

Dude what are you even talking about.. The first thing you look at when moving is the amenities in a given region.. Are they affordable, is it safe, what type of access is there?? This is why you target certain cities. Big market cities are for the commercial access , appeal and entertainment value. If you're worried about say like you stated your family.. why would your main concern then be commercial access and exposure of a major city? If that commercial shoot requires you to stay out past midnight.. If you need to attend a couple of night club appearances to promote your latest brand venture.. Essentially you're branching out from being an athlete into being an entertainer.

Now if you're saying well Cleveland doesn't have any entertaining spots.. These guys are millionaires.. pool together with some other teammates buy a house and outfit it with all your entertainment needs.. anything else can be handled during offseason vaca time.. When you're not using the house rent it out to visiting teams

........i'm guilty of this. i've done it before. it's habit. reflex. you get a guy in the air you almost have to make that play. i hoop forreal though and i dont shy from contact.

I remember once at my gym while playing pickup a dude tried to call an offensive charge. We couldn't stop laughing and dude left during the game cause we didn't give it to him. Im glad at the gym I go to nobody pulls bs like backcourt , and trying to bait people into fouls.

Posting up curry and where is Capela standing?

Houston went a lot of minutes without Capela anyway. Capela always just stays right baseline anyway if hes not in the pick & roll which is smart since Harden prefers the left side.

Cp gets the ball a lot in the block faces up and makes a play it doesnt always need to be traditional posts ups just getting the ball closer to the basket for an iso helps instead of isoing from the three point line.Also Harden is a master in drawing contact to get FT’s he would get a ton of those just on rip thru’s. I know potentialy contested long twos and midrange are bad shots analtyically but those are still higher percentage shots than contested threes (Less points per shot i know)

When LeBron said not all buckets are the same or something like that. During the flow of the game you just get the feel you need a score to ease the ship. This was painfully obvious during the GSW’s third quarter storms. A score settles your team down a little and forces them to take the ball out the baseline.
Starting your attack from the midrange area would have helped.
