Ehhh not really. The pace of play is so much faster that its hard to compare Harden to players from the 80s and 90s. It's similar to the late 50s and early 60s. Take a look at the 61-62 MVP race:

2 teammates averaging over 30 ppg, Wilt averaged 50 ppg, multiple guys averaging over 20 rebs, etc. The stats are mind boggling. It's hard to compare those stats to the more grind-it-out style of the 90s. Jordan would've averaged close to 40 ppg with the number of possessions that NBA teams have nowadays

I mentioned this yesterday, but the pace was faster during Jordan's first 7 years in the league than it is now.
