. Nobody did really. GSW was an evolution that was based on luck, timing, their core players making major leaps individually, Steve kerr’s Brilliance and the cap jump.Bron’s operating model was surround himself with 2 All NBA guys, former all stars, and shooters in a weak east. He’d give himself a 50/50 shot at a chip for the next 10 years in that scenario....
And it would’ve worked too, if those damn Warriors didn’t glow up outta nowhere and Steph’s ankles weren’t glass in a contract year....and Draymond Green didn’t become a collaborative superstar, and GSW didn’t choke a chip to Bron that ultimately landed them KD.
2016 was the sacrifice that had to be made.

Funny how easy people forget how much ish LeBron got for his move. People will get over what kd did eventually. LeBron created the era of join up with all stars in they prime.
Hell he's done it twice and about to do it a third time this summer.
It's easier to say you love LeBron and want him to win then to do these mental gymnastics and say LeBron does it the right way and kd just wants the easy way out.

Funny how easy people forget how much ish LeBron got for his move. People will get over what kd did eventually. LeBron created the era of join up with all stars in they prime.
Hell he's done it twice and about to do it a third time this summer.
It's easier to say you love LeBron and want him to win then to do these mental gymnastics and say LeBron does it the right way and kd just wants the easy way out.

I honestly don't think that GSW team without KD is a stacked team. They just play together really good that makes them look like a superstar. Put any one player on the other team and it will not carry that team to the playoffs.

Bron knew full well he was going into a situation with two superstars where all three of them would flourish and win multiple titles. When he signed, everyone was in their prime and they were all healthy. He needed to get over the hump that was the Boston Celtics.

If kyrie could have stayed healthy atleast for a few more games in 2015 warriors would have probably traded klay. But typical kyrie rarely healthy when it matters

Not hating on him at all. Today's template is generally to have a big 3 with role players. Boston started it. Can't knock Bron he just couldn't get over the hump that was the Boston Celtics.

I think teams run something like 30% more iso’s in the playoffs vs GSW in recent years compared to the regular season iirc.
Yes it’s true that the rockets iso a ton, but it’s also even more true that Gsw’s switching between a collection of elite level high IQ defenders forces you to do that. Can’t run sets if everything can be switched, and that’s why they can’t be beaten IMO they force you into hard ISO’s every time down, and KD was one of the only players in the league who this didn’t matter with and now he’s on their team.
You can try to move the ball more, yadayadayada but teams iso more period come playoff time, that’s only amplified even more against a team this good defensively.

The “decision” thread is still on NT. It’s HILARIOUS reading the responses. People forget what that was at the time.
All the talking heads were talking about how Bron would never be MJ, Magic or even Bird no mater how manyhe won after the decision.
2 chips later....ESPN ranks Bron as the 2nd best player of all time (before he won the 2016 chip)....and now....we have “Championships added” for beating the Pacers and Raptors as to why he’s “the GOAT”
.Winning changes everything. If KD eeks out this year and the next....most will be forgiven and revisionist history and forgotten context will happen.
