Kuz is the type of player where you have to let him take a couple of tough shots, he needs freedom. Hopefully bron and AD start to trust him more and let him cook a few times per game.

That also allows them to "rest" during the games.

Encouraged to see Kuz gaining his confidence back. The key for him going forward will still be finding that balance between playing freely/being depended upon which he thrives in, and playing in a more controlled offense and defined role when LBJ and AD are in which he’s still adjusting to. Easier said than done because he’s a rhythm player so coaching staff and LBJ also need to empower him and put him in position to succeed

Well, that was unexpected. The Thunder really underestimated them and thought this was going to be an automatic W for them.

Kuzma had an amazing performance, but it doesn't matter for the Lakers if he can play like this as a starter, because they already have plenty of firepower in their starting 5. They need someone who can make a consistent scoring impact off the bench when their starters are resting.
