Jets WR Brandon Marshall took a swing at Darrelle Revis in practice.

Remember when it was suggested that Brandon Marshall reverting to 2009 and punting a football during practice was good news for the Jets? It may be time to rethink that one.

Marshall and cornerback Darrelle Revis got into a fight during practice on Friday. Via Rich Cimini of ESPN.com, Marshall approached Revis while Revis was on the field and Marshall was on the sideline. After the two traded verbal pleasantries, Marshall threw a punch at Revis.

A teammate, per Cimini, literally picked Marshall up and carried him away after the incident, which came after the two players had been jawing at each other throughout practice.

And so Jets fans will now insist that there’s nothing to see here. And fans of every other team won’t be able to look away as they wait for the next eruption from Mt. Marshall, which had been dormant for a couple of years.

But I think it's nothing to worry about:

#Jets HC Todd Bowles was asked if he liked the chippiness/trash-talking. His response? "Love it. It's football."

Don't mind that at all.

Only thing I don't like is Marshall mocking Revis for letting Hopkins get the better of him last season. You're teammates, you both lost the game.

It's camp. It always gets chippy like this around this time. We have our first preseason game coming up soon, guys are just spun up and ready to hit someone in the mouth.

Marshall, Decker, Enunwa, Thompkins, Marshall, Peake, Ross*, Smith (PUP)

Can they hold that many WRs? I think Thompkins or Ross are going to be the odd mans out, but I would like to retain both; the more depth the better and it gives the offense the chance to truly mix and match all over. Peake may be a practice squad guy too tho.

Just 3 years our best receiver was Jeremy Kerley.

Now we're 7 deep at that position :hat :hat

Watched the highlights from yesterday's game, Dee Milliner got BURNT :{ :x

I mean he was covering a top 10 WR. I don't think it's much cause for concern just yet. He was making a play in the ball, just didn't come up with it. We'll see what happens next week.

I'm loving Petty, dude really showed that he's coming around. Lots of nice plays out of him. I can't wait for next weeks game.

Even though I like our RB crew, I definitely wouldn't mind Karlos Williams, we could use a bruiser IMO
