How you get "got got" when you buy retail the right way?

I’m saying you (maybe not literally you) “got got” if your pair didn’t come with contrast heel on both shoes or without contrast heel effect at all. Because mostly everyone else’s pairs did.

Just opened my pair from SNKRS and everything looks to be good except for the 3/4” indentation on the left toe box.

Black infrareds with Nike Air. Had to scoop a few! I’m gonna rotate 2 and the other 2 will sit for a little bit.

These, the Carmine’s and the white infrareds are the sauce!! Haha

I went through 3 pairs at FTL (see earlier post, where one had half the N in NIKE scratched off, and the other was the wrong size) that had either no contrast or just 1 of 2 shoes had contrast. I kept the last pair that was perfect but no contrast.

My END pair is perfect except one foot had minimal contrast (but it’s there) and the other had good contrast.

I understand it’s all in the details. I myself love the white edged patent leather. But in all honesty this heel contrast talk is getting lame. These are no where near the same as the OG when it comes to what they used on the back portion. In that regard just give it up. JB barely tried yet some of y’all have a serious hard on whether yours have it or not.

She just doesn't understand. When i got my first pair in 2000 about 3 months in I had kept them immaculate but I must have stepped on a mustard pack at school near the food court. Side air pocket had a giant yellow blotch i could never get out. Wished I had another pair so badly. Now i have 2. Sold that pair busted as hell for 90 bux 5 years later to a restorer.

Man....the main way for me to sum this release up; Inconsistent. And ever since I posted my flaw, there have been nothing but highly visible flaws.

tonytobacco suggested I iron out my toebox wrinkles....seems to have made a difference, but we'll see. Stupid that I gotta iron my brand new $200 shoes.

Ugh...I've never been so torn about a shoe.

But yeah, this release....Overall, disappointing to me. The funny thing is, they cancelled the initial rollout of those Carmelo XXIII's with FAR more perfect pairs than what it seems these have. Probably fewer of those than these, therefore allowing them to cover costs by releasing at the outlets.

This many units at such a reduced price would put them deeeeeep in the red. But it's starting to look like they should have pulled these. Call me crazy.

Pair came in, barely has any contrast to the heel, small glue mark on one of the toes. Midsole paint is flawless. Kind of salty about the heel but whatever..

Seen plenty of comparisons to the 2010 varsity pair (which doesn’t count imho) but I haven’t seen many to the actual infrared pair. I guess not many people still have the pack. 2019 shade and paint job much better. I still like the 2010’s though. I liked the 2014 too honestly.

Side note- Definitely used Nike’s infrared shade. Paint is dead on to my 90’s. Like exact. I don’t know why it was so hard for JB to use Nike’s color. This is honestly the first time they ever got the color right since ‘91. They make **** harder than it has to be smh.

Is it possible that Shoe Palace, for whatever reason, gets stuck with terrible pairs? Because I swear, some of their pairs look downright fake.

At one particular store, the ENTIRE Jordan section looked fake/terrible, EVERY single model.

I understand that they're an authorized distributor with multiple locations. I get that. But still, something isn't right.

In regards to what? The white edges? Oh I could b*t$h and moan all day because guess what. Compared to the originals...the 2018 white edges is very subtle. Where as on the 1995 pair is very bold. It’s there though, just like the contrast on these 6s are there, well most pairs at least.

What I don’t understand is the same people complaining are the same people that bought garbage knock off looking retros for years.

That’s not the point. I care about it, I want it. These ‘19s have it! So now what’s the problem? Folks wanted full blown black leather? That’s dumb. These were never leather. You got folks acting like these don’t have a contrast at all. It’s nuts. Bottom line, these have the contrast heel. If yours doesn’t, your pair is one of the exceptions and frankly, you got got.

Carmines are by far the ugliest/worst of the OG VI's. Never liked those one bit. Yup!

Do people not see that in lots of pics, not only the heel has the contrast but the "3" section too? I highly doubt JB sprayed anything on the heels of these. Perhaps different cuts of nubuck but peeps really thinking JB sprayed the heels? Nah.
