2021 Cadillac Escalade

good luck diagnosing all those hundreds of benz computer modules for faults without proprietary software.

i change oil, other fluids and do my own brakes but computer issues and major issues which i never had i would take it to the dealer.

you bugging i can tell you never owned a german car let alone a luxury car worth bragging about

majority of all benz owners/luxury car drivers take their cars to the dealership for maintenance why would you buy such an expensive car just to try to save on using a back yard mechanic/jiffy lube if you cant afford the repairs out of warranty at the dealer than you cant really afford the car at all.

In major markets the labor rates can be around $100 /hr.for specialty vehicles. Plus all the sublet labor for proprietary diagnostics. Re aiming head lamps etc.

The lower tier benzes and BMWs are the same car right now. Same designers. Both of those cars are headaches. I'd get a Lexus instead.

My dealer charges $150 an hour and everything they fix comes with a 1 year warranty and at least i get peace of mind knowing im getting a certified benz mechanic to work on it and if anything goes wrong. So if $150 is too much an hour i would stay away from germans because taking it to some back yard mechanic/jiffy lube tryna save a few bucks may end up with more problems and be claiming the same thing ninja saying about repairs.

Folks who claim "oh german cars are expensive or hard to repair" are folks who either never owned one pushing that old rumor or bought one and couldnt afford the up keep and telling everyone else they are a pain to repair when all you gotta do is take it to the dealer.

and again lexus is Japanese back to my original post where i stated German or Japanese

oh and for the record germany doesnt make just benz and bmw they do have other cheaper options

and for Japanese look at toyota putting a bmw engine in their new flagship supra says alot and aston martin now using AMG engines in almost all their new cars says alot too seeing they use to make their own v12 engines

:lol @ going to da stealership to get bang out with no vasoline.

you lease those cars and get rid of em...you don't own a German car, they depreciate about as fast as a cube of ice in a fire storm and their problems.

afford ≠ stupid enough to own.

depreciate? Man are you confused they are one of the leading cars that hold their resale value. Merc is the most valuable car brand out now

again until you own one you only going off he say she say. I own 2 and havent had any issues with either. And their service is A1 at the dealer so i dont feel like its a stealership.

you telling me you would buy a high end car and will take it to someone other than the company who made it if it cost more than 100 an hour?

even me being a German car junkie you lease those cars 100% and get rid of them. Your doing yourself a disservice financing (not under warranty anymore) or buying them (same). Unless your getting them for an absolute steal at the car auction I wouldn’t even touch em. I wouldn’t even finance them brand new joints. You get so many incentives and more leasing Germans nowadays and 2.5-3 I’m out of that **** and in a newer one.

Imagine having to do yearly service or more and your dash looks like a Christmas tree and it’s out of warranty  .

well like i said i dont have any issues with mines and both of mines been out of warranty for 4 or so years just been doing routine maint and both cars still smooth

how did i know you would pull the german cars that were once 100k and now worth less. every one knows a new car depreciates as soon as you drive it off the lot. Hardly anyone finances brand new cars unless they are just wasting money you buy certified pre owned from these companies.

and they depreciate like that because even tho you can get a 7 series brand new at 106k than 5 years later get it for 30k no one will buy it because you are still doing main on a 106k car that has limited options on who can do the maint on it. Thats why the german cars are on that list let alone any car over 70k there are only so many ppl who will actually buy those cars used knowing they can afford the maint.

don't move da goalposts I never said cars don't depreciate. I said German cars depreciate da most at a higher percentage than mostly any other car.

i edited my post

than you get alot of broke people who think they are getting a steal paying 30k for a 7 that cost new 100k and complain because they cant afford the maint and up keep and cry saying germans are problems lol

German cars are just status symbols, looking at from a numbers point it's stupid to spend a 100k on a car unless it's an investment ie race car or classic car for instance.

why cant a person just spend that much
on a car
because they like it
doesn't have to be an investment

well i guess im in the minority
i can care less about depreciation

you bugging I care about depreciation with all products, that's how you know stuff is worth what people are asking for it. when da market decides on a price away from MSRP.

Shouldn't you be on apple products than if thats the case?
