Kobe was like top 5ish since 2000 then finished the decade stronger than everyone else. *Shrug*

Edit:
Actually maybe in 2001ish was Kobe's jump into that territory. Kobe probably top 10-15 in 2000 because he was still the new kid on the block.

Weak justification for welching on a bet, obviously he wasnt paid BEFORE all that 😂
idk why he keeps saying that like the whole thread doesn't know the story and timeline

Tim from 99 to 07….was DOMINANT. Literally won right after Jordan retired . Literally passed the torch.

4 chips
3 FMVP
2 MVP (back 2 back 02 & 03)

And that right there, is an 8 year stretch in which he never had the lows of Kobe or Shaq. But the highs of both of them.

Who was the nter who was wearing girl jeans and skateboarding in the early 00s way before it became normalized? Nef or some ****

Should be Kobe-LeBron-Duncan era.

Or refer to it as the modern era until the era we're in now becomes more clear.

From 07 to 10. Sure

Not sure if that’s enough to call an “era” when Duncan and Shaq got longer/better claims to it.

How do they have better claims though?

2000-2010

Kobe
1x League MVP
2x Finals MVP
2x scoring champ
5x champ
10x All Star
10x All NBA (8x First team)
10x All NBA defense (8x First team)

Duncan
2x League MVP
2x Finals MVP
3x Champ
10x All Star
10x All NBA (7x 1st team)
10x All NBA Defense (6x 1st team)

Shaq
1x League MVP
3x Finals MVP
1x scoring champ
4x Champ
9x All Star
8x All NBA (7x First Team)
3x All NBA Defense

Bron definitely up there for the 2006-2010 range.

29/7/7
2 MVPs
4 All-NBA 1st Team
1 All-NBA 2nd Team
2 All-Defense 1st Team

Yeah, that’s not enough time or accolades for Tim/Kobe/Shaq. It’s like Saying the “Giannis era” for 2010 to 2020

I feel like Bron-Steph got their own era. Which is pretty much that time period. Modern Day Magic/Bird.

It’s been great for basketball. Terrible for basketball discussion however.

You conveniently left out 1999 . The year after Jordan retired…Duncan won. So add on another Championship and Finals MVP.

We just can’t skip that, because it’s a year earlier .

And we know Kobe didn’t become KOBE until 02-03. But Duncan was still better then. And Kobe became the “best” around 07/08.

I literally said he was the best player of the 2000s which is that decade. The 90s belonged to Jordan. The 80s to Magic/Bird. I'm pretty sure that's how it's broken down via 2K. You trying to skew the propaganda. Not to mention Lakers went 4-1 against the Spurs during the 2000s decade as well.
