In California, a pastrami sandwich is just pastrami, mustard and pickles. But in Virginia, it's got lettuce, tomatoes, onions, etc. like a full fledged sandwich. I much prefer the California way.

Different breads for different sandwiches or nah? Like for a lunch meat and cheese sandwich, I don't always have it on deck but I prefer rye.

Your simple bacon & tomato? Whole grain bread is perfect.

Basic childhood pb&j? The only acceptable bread is that 'LIVE LAUGH LOVE' bread.

Lettuce is iffy depending on the piece of lettuce you get but having lettuce and tomato is better than not

Oh I know, but there are plenty of toppings that have crunch + flavor. Lettuce is just a waste of space.

I actually didn't know they were that far west but fwiw, it's a must stop for me every time I go back home to CA. Part of that could be that it's legitimately fire, part of it could be that I don't get to have it whenever I want any more.
