2025 NBA Draft Thread

i feel like people are gunna turn on cooper flagg, when they realize he's more of a do it all support player than a primary ball handler #1 option.

I feel like there is prospect fatigue among fans, especially after Zion and Wemby, but Cooper is super complete for a 17 year old. He's not some super freak athlete or super tall person but I get a Jokic feel from the guy. He's just really good at basketball. Also you cant teach a high motor. I can see him be good right away.

Don't get me wrong I think the ceiling is still high, maybe ceiling is Jayson Tatum with more defense?

but i think median outcome is more in the Shawn Marion, AK-47 zone.

I need to watch Flagg some more, but Tatum is the centerpiece both offensively and defensively of a championship team. That’s a lofty bar.

well yah i think its an unlikely outcome, that would be if everything goes perfectly.

i can squint and see it.

Yeah, I mean I can see the squint potential of it too. He’s a big time scorer on the HS level and plays really hard defensively. Similar body type. It’s not impossible.

I think folks are just tired of talking about the same 2-3 prospects constantly.

I’d rather talk about the Egor prospects of the world
