2025 NFL Draft Thread

No, the day before the draft there were several reporters that said Sanders was the number one QB on some teams boards but just about every team had Ward 1, Sanders 2. Now I don’t believe everything reporters say but it sounds likely he was top 2 on most teams, especially when you compare him to the rest of the QBs.

So, a bunch of hearsay by some dudes with microphones?

And the next day ALL of those teams changed their minds and came together as one?

You believe that? Honestly, I'm askin you, you believe that's what happened?

Bomani hates Deion.
Not true at all. He’s actually defended him and called out racist takes towards him.
Even draft pundits had Shedeur as a first round lock for the past year or two.
Wrong. He was receiving mid round at best grades last year.
Look at ALLLLLL of these dudes 2025 mock drafts and Shedeur was a first round pick in every last one of them.
He wasn’t. You can literally look up tons of recent mocks without him being picked in R1. And if you’re talking about mocks from last year, mocks that far out are so inaccurate. It’s just name recognition. The buzz on him dropping has largely been post-Combine, which he blew off. We don’t have to rewrite history here. Maximus Meridius Maximus Meridius was calling him a lock to the Giants recently and I was as telling him there’s no way he was getting picked at 3. Either y’all are just watching Get Up in the morning or not following the actual smart people who do this stuff. Only Mel Kiper has been pitching a fit for a reason

Don’t know what you’ve been watching, but Shedeur has been thought of as a 1st round pick since his final season at Colorado.

Hindsight is 2020 so we all can reason and have explanations to why he did fall, but even the use of the word “fall” communicates that everyone had him going in the first. This has been a shock to most, that’s why it’s taken up and will continue to take up most of the draft conversation.

Like, we are talking about a quarterback here by far the most over, drafted position, projection wise.

Does anyone think Cam Ward was the best pure talent in this draft? Probably not.

But when you’re the best quarterback in a draft, it doesn’t matter because of the importance of the position.

:lol

I mean.....

At this rate, teams are just throwing darts at kids who won’t even make the practice squad. Jets just picked up a WR who, bro... I would’ve taken Sanders easy over him.

also look at this goofy MF

He better than Sanders? Come on.

Deion’s someone right — better to be Mr. Irrelevant and ball out than get drafted early by some garbage organization that’ll have his son out the league in three years. Facts.

I'm not eloquent enough to explain it, so I will use this tweet explaining it a little better instead.

To me, it's not even the 2026 or starter this year in 2025 part, but the non supportive of an actual starter point that hurts him more than anything. If that was sniffed out, AT ALL, by any team(s) then he has no chance.

Dillon Gabriel? He probably did nothin but say he would do whatever was needed, carry a clipboard, try to learn, help, blah blah blah whatever team drafts him.

Feels like some are getting some sort of weird joy from this slide man :lol

No matter how anyone feels about him personally, and I know a lot from the CFB thread weren't fans, NOBODY including those following the sport expected him flat out not to get drafted at all like its heading...

Dress it up however you want but there's no world he was being talked about as an undrafted player these last 3 years/season

But the problem is, same people talking about his fall are the same ones who had to publicly discuss this draft as soon as the 2024 draft ended

I think there is a value to what Mel kiper and the rest do, but they gotta get clicks

But with cam ware, gotta remember dude wasn’t a high recruit cause he wasn’t doing all the QB camps where these dudes are known known from high school.. and that Miami team had some obvious flaws but dude still did work in his single year with the team and he actually participated in the process so guys could actually evaluate him

Like imagine your the giants and your legit interested in dude but like any other draft pick no matter how successful they may have been there are things you need to coach them on.. and then he shows up not prepared and doesn’t take criticism well.. giants HC and GM gotta know they gotta start winning soon

Eagles with Carson wentz is a great example.. they knew he had shh he had to work on.. dude wouldn’t set his feet and it was obvious and you could see how it impacted his accuracy, also what happened depending on where he was holding the ball while he was processing.. wentz did well when we had a legit QB coach (flip) and respected OC (frank reich).. as soon as they left those bad habits we’re back and because he had success he thought he could dictate stuff inside the building and he had his own personal QB coach who clearly wasn’t helping but because the eagles were promoting younger guys in house wentz wasn’t worth the headache

Would y'all be surprised if Shedeur went undrafted at this point?

I think this is where not having an agent is killing him

He doesn’t have someone legit back door talking to teams and making promising and/pr addressing potential concerns

That boy definitely slow
He’s taking this a one big joke he still doesn’t get it smh

i mean he ain't gonna come out saying that someone leaked it while being undrafted. but he does sound slow.

I actually would be surprised by that.

At some point, someone has to realize he's well worth the value. The hell with his dad.

What team will do it? That I have no idea. But hopefully soon so everyone can move on.

probably what NFL teams see sanders as:

Turning down 4 chances to workout, telling teams in the interview “I don’t think we’re a fit”, and not being good on the board work as a QB? And y’all are saying this is about teaching him a lesson because he’s Black?

And that’s where the Tebow example is a bad one.. yes the circus of his fans and the media people weren’t worth the headache (think all the skip stuff)

But Tebow himself seemed willing to be a team player.. I know with the eagles dude was doing multiple position stuff and what was asked of him.. and can’t remember any teammates ever getting thrown under the bus by him or his people
