Really surprised there has been no news on this guy. Guess the strikeouts and defense are scaring teams away. Having watched most of his games, I really think the power translates.

Happy. But for any/all relievers, cautious.
Year after year we see bullpen guys be LIGHTS OUT for 3-4 months. Then total trash for 3-4 weeks.
He was phenomenal for us last year. I'm pissed our cheap *** owner just keeps not spending and let him walk.
But you can never predict year over year with relievers. Arm angles, slots, mounds, catchers, pitching coaches, innings/roles just never know.

I'm interested to see who else actually made offers. From his perspective, I imagine it's the best opportunity to get as much playing time as possible, and in a low-leverage environment, to adapt to Big League stuff.
If he does well enough he'll become a trade chip, if not then the White Sox will at least have eyes for the next two years from Japan, with whatever marketing opportunities that come with that.
