2026 NBA Draft Thread

Best point guard in the country. Best freshman season of any guard. TOP 5 PICK

CBS sports had Acuff at #20, in their latest mock just four days ago. B Sox B Sox , or someone else who hates “small” guards must’ve wrote that mock….because shorty is top 5-10 easy :lol

If we are just going off of the college tape this guy blows Darryn Peterson away. Being honest. It would take Peterson 2 months to rack up as much assist as Acuff had in this one game

20 is nuts. All those guards are in the 5-12 or so range.

Shooting will always be a premium trait. Yall just love overvaluing these little flashy dudes that can barely shoot over the years

The Curious Case of Koa Peat…. He’s gonna have to start producing or come back to Arizona. He’s had flashes, a couple performances where he stood out on offense or defense, but that’s it.

Don’t think he’s coming back to school. He’s playing a role. Jumper needs to improve a lot but he has some playmaking 4 skills he’s not showing.

It’s just hard to believe the same kid that routinely split pick and rolls and created dunks in the half court all of a sudden is Ray Allen (no shame in it. ) something isn’t adding up but I’m sure we’ll see what’s the word in a few months.

Even still, there’s been flashes of greatness. Baylor is a bad defensive team but that three level scoring was there.
That’s the thing I like about Peterson, when he’s on it’s looks the most impressive and effortless out of all the prospects…If his issues are injuries and it can be fixed it’ll be hard to pass up on that kind of ceiling

I feel like people are getting skill AND athleticism confused with Peterson.

His film vs grown, collegiate athletes kind of equalizes him. He doesn’t look like a superior athlete. Ray Allen’s early athleticism being downplayed is CRAZY.

Peterson looks like Devin Booker out there to me. He looks like he’s making plays because he’s highly SKILLED. Not elite athletically vs other grown men.

He doesn’t look like Ant, let alone DWade athletically IMO.

His handle and shiftiness are good enough for him to get to spots where he’s comfortable shooting jumpers, even if a bit contested. He’s definitely a good “tough shot maker”.

What he hasn’t displayed any bit of in college is an explosiveness to then get in paint and put pressure on the rim. Can’t get by his defender ENOUGH and challenge bigs.

If he had like Jalen Green’s athleticism, I’d be all in on the hyperbolic stuff. But he doesn’t.
