2026 NBA Draft Thread

I just wish Peterson would’ve shown that he could somewhat regularly beat average college defenders off the dribble. Makes me incredibly hesitant.

And now says he’s a point guard?

Sorry I don’t know what to think
Up there with any of the recent weird freshman campaigns.

Prolific tape shows generational combo guard, college tape shows WSU Klay Thompson.

With my job on the line, I can’t justify taking him before Cam.

I know immediately Cam is going to be great in the short roll & on switches.

I don’t know if Darryn can pressure the rim, I don’t know if he can deliver the pass when he does.

Peterson went like 5 games in a row with 1 assist. Point guard? He don’t have the vertical explosion of a Castle or Ant. His ceiling or impact in the league will be of Bradley Beal and Devin Booker. Which is not horrible

His college tape shows basically zero aptitude for orchestrating any kind of offense on ball. Not much PnR work at all. Like I just don't buy that Self was misusing him when the team absolutely needed the theoretical PG version of Peterson so they could be better.

That said, could potentially be the best shooter in the draft. So he will certainly find a way to score in the league. He's going to be really good.

Just too many question marks for me to take him over a hyperathletic 6'9" wing that I know is going to get rim pressure and can basically get whatever look he wants on the floor at any time.

Wizards please don’t take Peterson. Just don’t see the hype. Thanks.

Well Booker ran the point this year and he is not great at it, but he’s not terrible at it either. I think Peterson would be about the same. Serviceable. But he a pull up jumper guy. I haven’t seen the downhill ability of a SGA or Dylan Harper. His best trait is catch and shoot, and pulling up. He really a Gen Z OJ Mayo. But better

This reminds me of the Tatum criticisms he was getting during the 2017 draft. People are overthinking this. Take the 6’10 wing with the 42 inch vertical. At worst you get a jumbo Demar Derozan/Jaylen Brown

Don’t think he’s a bust but I don’t think he’s head and shoulders ahead of anyone because of measurements. Kind of struggles to beat like sized guys off the dribble. Definitely a ball stopper. Doesn’t defend

I still have him at 1 but I have zero issue with boozer at 1

Boozer keeps getting left out of the talks it seems. Great season. Strong combine numbers. Just too boring for people I guess.

No chance he's not a great pro.

For me he just seems too small and not athletic enough. If he was like 6’10 I’d be on board.

Measureables nothing to sneeze at.

You think he can guard bigs Jokic, Wemby, Giannis and other 6-11 -7 footers?

Or does he have the foot speed to keep up with wings at the 4 spot?I saw him struggle against size and athletes in the tourney. That’s every night in the NBA.

At best he seems like Kevin love with better playmaking to me. Which is still good. I’m not calling bust. Just think the other guys have a higher upside.

There's a small handful of 4s that would really give him trouble. Not a whole lot of people going to have success guarding him either though. Going to be a menace with NBA spacing and his combo of strength and jumper.

Boozer had better agility times than Peterson, Dybantsa & Wilson.

Boozer reminds me of Haliburton in the sense of the aesthetics throw people off to the obvious reality that he is just a better basketball player than the other guys.

Dybantsa is this wing everyone is salivating for but his defense impact so far was worse than neglible. Everyone (including myself a little bit) assumes he'll be able to turn that on in the league but he has shockingly bad block/steal numbers which historically are a really good translator of defensive impact at the nextt level.

As it stands, this is I how I have it, subject to change...

Tier 1
Cam Boozer
Darryn Peterson

Tier 2
Keaton Wagler

Tier 3
Caleb Wilson
AJ Dybantsa

Tier 4
Darius Acuff
Aday Mara
Kingston Flemings

AJ 3 ball is broke and he can’t defend. Boozer and DP above him for me.

Only took 10 shots but controlled the game against the best team in the country who has a frontcourt with 3 first round picks. Big Boy Hali :pimp:
