nike, best buy, bed bath and beyond, the container store and toys r us are the only ones i've got responses from and i've done hundreds ofapplications..most of them online ones.

They say you have to call in after you submit the online application. I've filled out a billion of them and only Books-A-Million was serious about hiringme.

In my time searching for a job. I would say the best way is to get a temp to hire job through an agency. Craigslist worked really well for me. But I havefilled out a million online applications and not one call back. Its always better when you know someone.

Fax your resume when possible. I've got 3-4 job interviews/ offers doing that and got 1 interview using an online application.
