if you like the campus atmosphere, syracuse. if you like big cities and free roaming, NYU

Technically should be "easier" to transfer to a private college. Just get ready to cry when you see the tuition price.

Can I ask why? Isn't ASU like the best party school haha

Idk your GPA but

Columbia= best academics hands down, expensive
NYU=great academics mad expensive
Fordham=great academics horrible financial aid
Pace=good academics not cheap

CUNY Baruch/Hunter=good academics/very affordable/no dorms though..
Saint Johns=Faggedaboutit
Saint Josephs= good academics, not expensive

Idk about upstate schools but SUNY's are usually not THAT expensive

I go to CUNY Hunter and it has great academics and its 5000 a year but its a commuter school which sucks ( not s huge social scene)
Edit: I highly recommend CUNY Baruch for Business..

and transferring is a b regardless

Yeah it's a great party school for people who are into that. A lot of sorority-type girls here.

My GPA is a 3.11 right now but after this semester should be higher. I've looked around at CUNY's website and the tuition I could handle but Iwasn't sure about the caliber of academics.

what year are you? if your on a academic scholarship i'd try to stay there as long as possible before transfering

co-sign with op ...i been looking for a school in ny to go to school..right now i attend Comunity collage down here in dallas...but i wanna go to a school in abig city..

my major is architecture /graphic designer...something in that area..

Are you interested the wall street fast track?

If so, go to NYU. If you just want to be in NYC for the hell of it and do not care for finance, then the other schools will suffice.

What is the atmosphere like at Columbia? The campus?

And which school is better for finance - NYU or Columbia?

Columbia.

NYU Stern is good too and you won't have to travel far to network with those Goldman Bankers.

Refixed. My fault.

What about the differences between campuses/people? Anyone have any insights.

Yes, why would u leave ASU (full scholarship)? You got it made partying and learning for free. If I were you, I'd only consider going to NY if it was anupgrade and imo there's only three schools that would be an upgrade: NYU, Columbia, & Cornell (

how'd ya'll 4get this one). On top of that, I'm pretty sure thature not going to get anywhere close to what you get now $ wise esp. not from cheap ##% NYU. So, If I were you, then I'd go into NY for grad school debtfree. EDIT: With a 3.1 GPA you have pretty much no shot into Columbia (4% transfer acceptance rate) and probably those other 2 schools too. It's def. notworth transferring out then. btw: pics of u

haha jk but for realI'm in NY. Don't go to Pace either; I went there two years and hated it, thinking I could go transfer into Columbia, and ended up going to LoyolaMaryland.

NYU=great academics mad expensive - very overpriced for what they offer. I have lots of friends who go there, though I doubt you'll get into the Stern Business school anyway. Because that's the only good school there that's really worth it other than the film school.
Fordham=great academics horrible financial aidthey'll give you lots of aid initially then take it all away by your 2nd year. Yea they did it to me. They keep improving in ranking every year, which is the only reason I didn't transfer out
Pace=good academics not cheap

CUNY Baruch/Hunter=good academics/very affordable/no dorms though..
Saint Johns=Faggedaboutit - depends on the program. Their business program is supposedly improving but I don't know how it is
Saint Josephs= good academics, not expensive - Not great academics. have lots of friends who go there as our neighborhood CYO basketball coordinator is the girls b-ball coach so we get in there with ease. My friends consider it the biggest waste fo 4 years of their lives. They didn't learn anything they said.

With a 3.1 you're not getting into NYU or Columbia probably not Fordham. Baruch would be a great choice if you want to save money as well as get a goodbusiness experience. If you don't mind the cold weather and country Syracuse is also a good choice. If you have any questions regarding 'Cuse PM me.
