Then tell her that she has no right to complain whenever she looks at herself in pics and in the mirror. Girls love to complain about their appearance. Every time she says something, reply with, "Then do something about it. Come to the gym with me and we can work out together. If you have an issue with how you look, then simply do something about it."

I don't think there's any way you can tell her without offending her. She's gonna freak out, and probably say something rude to you and you'll end up in a heated argument.

Umm thats not gonna happen cuz we talk to each with respect...and I'm not saying anything rude to her in the 1st place. She will be slightly blown at the moment but realize its for the better.  I don't hike or play tennis

but I'm getting some ideas together.

And DC of course I'm setting the standard but I think thats what makes her a lil uncomfortable because I'm the athletic one.

I feel sorry for you man. You are doing what you are supposed to do and she still is coming on board. You would think that the more in shape you become the more insecure she becomes because she knows more women will want you so she should be on ehr game. I guess not man.

1. What has been her excuses when you all have actually talked about it? What does she say exactly?

2. Does she eat right at least? How are her eating habits? You might have to cook healthy options for the both of you.

3. Has she progressively gotten fatter since you started talking to her?

Get her to hoop with you or go bike riding. If your involved with it she'll be with it, then realize she should start doing it on a regular basis.

If that fails just start liking fitness/workout pages on facebook then suggest them to her on fb

1. None really...she actually has a eliptical in her house and uses it sometimes... but I know she be half-assing and not really going hard. We been on walks and stuff before and been to the once.  I cooked her ala Quincy McCall but as I digress...

2. Yes she does, and shes aware of healthy habits. i don't really think this it the problem.

3. Nope, but she ain't get skinnier lol

But I asked her to go to the court today and she said yeah so we gonna do some workout stuff and then play....I'll see how she takes to it. I think its just a motivational thing really

It might be intimidating for her cuz you already know what you're doing. My bf is into lifting heave and he invited me to go with him and his friends one day but I had ti fall back cuz those guys are huge.

Thats why alot of people don't join gyms. They feel so lost when they get there. Just tell her you want to live a healthy lifestyle with her and that you will help guide her. She's gonna feel offended but that's just a defense mechanism. She'll know you're right and either get on board or save face and rebel. If it's that important to you you might have to end it. Give it time of course. She might start twice a week but once she sees the changes she'll want to keep it up. I'm sitting right in front of the gym now. Haven't been in 2 weeks. SMH

1. So how often do you go to the gym with your man MightyMouse? You said one time, have you gone since?

2. I suggest asking your man for advice, reading online for workouts, or look at the fitness thread here in the general forums for ideas. You don't have to do what they are doing just because you went with them.

3. Just like anything it will feel weird until you get the hang of it. I think you should go if he is still inviting you. If you aren't working out your body is getting worse. So get in the gym woman

Dude just tell her look I feel you should come with me to the gym I feel that you are gaining to weight and I am concerned about your health. If she doesn't want to lose the weight and rebel, Drop Her. There is more women out here

I just got back from the gym. I do work out but the last few weeks were off cuz i started summer school and i was to tired coming straight from work to class. We don't live close enough to be going together all the time. He's about an hour away. I was off that day and already going to see him so he invited me to the gym. I've been online and all that. I'm not completely lost tho. Like I said him and his friends are already huge and I didn't want to be in their way and slow them down cuz they were trying to help me. He gave me some stuff that I could do in my room or when I have down time without going to the gym.

Same deal with J. She brings it up and knows what she has to do...just hasn't been doing it. A epic idea popped up in my head one time though one night when I was gut-bustin and she said "you know, this could be my exercise routine" I'm thinking  hmmm that's not a bad idea...not a bad idea at all.
