Shanahan is a fool for the 3-4 switch. I tried to stay positive and defend it, but the %%!! just doesn't workOriginally Posted by RamZs8906

I'll agree to disagree... I look at coaching in this aspect more than McNabb in this instance because our offense has only slightly better, but not consistent enough, and our defense with the same players have dropped dramatically.
As far as the trade for McNabb, I'm in the minority in saying that Jason Campbell wasn't a horrible QB here in DC, however, constantly changing coaches, changing offensive styles, and Cerrato not drafting Offensive Lineman in any draft since Chris Samuels in 1999 led to a position where he seems to be replaceable... Not to mention he owns quite a few ******** records that people often forget...
What pisses me off in all of this, Vick WANTED to come to the ********. We were the first team he visited after getting out of jail. SMH at Zorn and Cerrato for saying no.
As far as Coaches in the league, I can't name any great head coach other than BB. How many head coaches have been with their current team more than 5 years. BB, Reid, and who else?
As far as Jason Campbell, I was (and still am) a big supporter. I was pissed when the Skins let him go, because I thought it would have been in the teams best interest to keep him around at least for another season. They could have drafted a QB and groomed him under JC. That would have been an ideal situation because Skins would have kept their picks and most likely they would have a similar record to what they have now. With this whole McNabb debacle, there is a ton of uncertainty at the QB position. We know McNabb is gone, and Grossman/Beck aren't the answer.
With Vick...Skins aren't the only team who passed on him. He's been lights out this year, and he's making the Eagles FO look real smart by having faith in him.
Going into the 2011 draft, I think the Skins need to gut the roster even more. Guys like Chris Cooley who have trade value should be moved for picks. Drafting a QB is a must. I'm assuming the Skins will be drafting around the 10-13 range, and while they need to get an O-Lineman, drafting a "franchise" QB has to be high on the list as well. I dunno....there are a ton of problems with this team on EVERY level. Front office, coaches, players, etc....Skins have a rich history and it really sucks to be considered one of the worst franchises in the league.
