Im in need of a new digital camera badly. what is the best camera that I can get for about 300 bucks.

Ive had a cannon PS for about 3 years now with no complaints.

fantastic camera, if you look a bit more you can easily find it for $200, use the extra money for a big memory card, the HD videos it shoots are very good

id still personally pick the sd1200, its about 200 and u can use the rest for a case/sd card. google has an eye-fi (free, 4GB) when u purchase 200GB of online storage ($50). but that's just me. u cant go wrong with canon P&S
and remember, buy a camera from a camera company. not a company that also makes cameras.

Just find a Canon Powershot in your price range. The SX200 IS is an amazing little camera for both pictures and video.

i have a older model canon sd870is.

the 970 is like $400 or around that.

the 960 appears to be on sale at a few places, right at $230...

the 780 isnt bad. a family member has one.. thats at $200 at BB

the 1200 is cheaper than all the rest. on sale now at $150.

personally id look right at the 960, which is $50 off at bestbuy. originally $280.

Majority will say Canon. Just one of the best.
My SD400 last till today.
