There is no comparison with a good set of speakers/headphones. The difference is day and night.

But, HOW do I play 5.1 audio? Do I have to burn it or what? I got Santogolds album in 5.1 DTS, but I cant figure how to play it!

Or i should say super compressed. I'm sure monday night madness probably has better links on it. And if you're a downloader, you can find them joints, i messes with 320kbps mp3s though, i can hold more mp3s on my player, and my left ear rings anyways, there's limits to what i can discern.

I downloaded Graduation in FLAC, 320kbps and VBR mp3. While I'm no audiophile, there were subtle differences. And I listened on crappy headphones/speakers so I could imagine it would've been even more noticeable on higher quality equipment. Kinda sucks that most people accept the lower quality music (audio not content) as a standard (okay content too). Anyways I know one of you has an invite to those private trackers.

The 5.1 will only work if played through a DVD player that decodes Dobly D, and DTS (which ALL do nowadays) AND has a fiber optic OR digital coax connection and must be hooked up to a  audio receiver with those same inputs, you also have to make sure the dvd player is set to BITSTREAM ans not PCM from its menu (access it with no disc in tray) heres some pics....
