Yeah, but once you reach a good buffer, you never have to worry about your ratio again

All these audio posts every time always has me wanting to upgrade my stuff just can't afford it. I'm hoping by summer time I can at least buy a better pair of headphones and upgrade my sound card.
I have been trying to to get everything I can in 320..
My main question is when do you notice the difference between 320 & FLAC/Losseless? Do you only notice the difference in the upper tier quality equipment? Or will you notice a significant difference in say a pair of quality headphones in the $100-$150 range?

F this - how about a 96/128 kbps UNappreciation post. #@$% makes me mad when I'm looking for a rare song and the only file I find is one of those 96 kbps files sounding like its a phone recording of a cassette recording of the radio

I noticed those earlier too when you posted, that's going to be awhile for me though unfortunately. Would need to a buy a nice sub to go with those as well.
Say on that pair, is their a noticeable difference between 320 & FLAC/Lossless? Or is it only subtle?

That's one of the things I'm hoping to upgrade by this summer time. What I'm using now is below par that I know. I'm just using an on board from my mobo (Blood Iron DFI P35) & a pair on Sony MDV-V300's. I'm in the process of trying to upgrade my entire library and wondering if the the jump would be worth it. I doubt I would be dropping more than $250 on a sc/headphones when the time comes.

I was contemplating on picking those headphones you posted up the (jvc I think) soon.. than my comp knocked out on me and after 3 hours of testing parts, we found out my ram was the problem and I purchased 2 sticks last night

If you have a laptop and need a better sound connection, this will do you good. Not as good as a dedicated sound card on a pc but it's still far better than the headphone jack for audio output.

plug it into that dongle. it doesnt matter where its plug, they are just preouts but you can use the logitech dongle to preamp.
