I can't wait to update my setup. I'm looking to have 2 x 23inches for the home office setup.

What are you doing with them? Unless you're doing video editing, I might recommend downgrading to something smaller like 20-22". I'm working on 2 23" monitors and it's almost too big. Sounds strange, but I almost wish I had smaller monitors for my dual setup.

You forgot add in the dead space.

The space in between your monitors. Since screens don't take up all the real estate on your monitor, you have a good two inches between each screen.

would it be possible to modify the frame the screens are in to eliminate the dead space? or would that somehow mess with the resolution?

I think that depends on the game you're playing, or the hardware you're using... I'm not sure which one, but that Hawx game on the first video drew pixels in the space that wasn't being used, which was kinda weird, but made sense.

I have thin bezels on my monitors. Total space between each screen is about half an inch at the most. I don't even notice the bezels when I'm gaming.

You're just seeing the middle screen blown up. His Field of vision is 2/3 wider than yours.

Once you go dual monitor, you can't go back. I have two 23 inch and my 42 inch LCD mounted on top of it.

That 1080p comment was just to say that regardless of whether your screen is a 24" monitor or a 50" TV, if it's 1080p, what you see on the screen isn't going to differ. The advantage with 2-3 screens is that the vertical content remains the same but horizontally, you see so much more.

1 monitor = looking forward with hands to the left and right of your eyes
3 monitors = no hands

I recently left video editing. These days I'm more inclined to giant spreadsheets, plans, proposals and probably watching something/surfing on the 2nd monitor.

Currently I have a 20in sitting in front of me, and 2 of them might work. I'm just saying 23, cause I used to have 1 x 23in and I loved it. Maybe you're right...could be OD...

Cool. Sounds like it could actually be a good fit if you put one in portrait mode for the spreadsheets.

i think they have expensive 1 piece displays, but it's really really expensive. in a few years. those might be the norm.
