Almost maximized my retirement and 401k for the year for tax purposes. At 250k so far in savings my account, should hit 300k by december.

The best time to start is now. We're on week 32 now, but if you want you can go back and make all the deposits from earlier in the year.

Personally I used to the bank and withdraw the money. Now I just transfer the weekly amount into my Apple savings account. There's no right or wrong way to do it, it's all preference.
