97' Gary Payton teaches Zoomology

I did these back when Gary Payton played for the Seatle Super Sonics. It was around the time he had the Nike commercial about teaching a class on Zoomology. This was 96' or 97'. I thought these would be a fitting shoe to come out of the line up back then. This was before the Nike Air Zoom Flight 98 "The Glove" with the zip shroud.

I think my concept with these was fluid. It was like a flowing of motion that I was going for. I wanted the shoe to look like it was dipped in some radio active liquid, that made the wearer faster. When I went back and looked at the shoes that where out the time, the Nike Air Zoom Hawk Flight, I realized that these would have been a great next shoe to come out with for Gary Payton.
