Was just watching this on TNT.

Shaq with 61 points and 23 rebounds on his Birthday
Michael Jordan with 50 points to become the oldest player to score that many
T-Mac with 13 points in 35 seconds left in the 4th Quarter
Kobe with 62 points in 3 quarters outscoring the Mavericks
Kobe with 81 points
Lebron with 52 points 11 assists and 9 rebounds

My Choice? Its a toss up between Shaq and Kobe's 81. 61 and 23 is just INSANE but so is 81 points.

What's yours?

say I'm biased or whatever...but it's gotta be kobe's 81. His team was down by like 20 going into the 4th or something like that. dude just willed his way for the win. plus wilt was saying how his 100 point game was a bunch of bs. his team intentionaly fouling the other team so that he could get is hundred.

Lebron's almost triple double? You can see the guy trying so hard to upstage kobe with a 50 point triple double. dude was chasing down rebounds at the end of the game..

impressive nonetheless kobe won't be doing that.

Jordans 50 at 40? ehh.

Shaq was pretty incredible though.

tmac was a bunch of luck...

kobe with 62 in 3 quarters was pretty awesome. dude scored more than the whole mavericks team at that point.

81 points should win, especially considering he was shooting threes and such. Shaq scored 61, which means the majority of his points came within a few feet of the basket.

Yeha but you gotta consider the fact that Shaq had 23 REBOUNDS!

that alone is just wow by itself. but to add 61 to it is just bananas.

It's not even up for debate like Charles & EJ led to...

4real though... Kobe's 81 is one of the greatest individual game performances in major sports history..Imo it's more impressive than Wilts 100

sixty one for a big man is ridiculous but

818181818181818181
818181818181818181
818181818181818181
818181818181818181

sometimes i wish the lakers werent up by 20 against dallas.. kobe was more in the zone in that game than the 81 points.. i wonder if he could have gone for 90 if it was a close game .

Kobe with 81 or Shaq with that 61pts/23 boards. Man, and these guys used to play with each other???

81

On Shaq's 61 If  I remember correctly once the crowd started rooting for him and the game got out of hand you can tell the Clippers big men didnt even try

Their front line were Mo Taylor,Kandiman,Lamar and Skinner i think

WORD.
They EASILY coulda won 3-4 more rings if they didnt trade Shaq.

Shaq in his prime in the early 2000's was THE MOST DOMINATING PLAYER EVER.

Shaq scored 61????
eek.gif
i never knew that......

i was gonna say Kobe's 81 but for Shaq to get 61 considering he probably didnt take and make any 3's(?) and that he sucks at free throws. that is most impressive..

i just googled and saw that it was against the clippers

i dont know what to think now..

I was kind of surprised not to see TD make an appearance on here.

But I think it might have been some of his Playoff performances that were great..

Just looking through the years and checking his performances, those that stand out...

01 Playoffs- 28/14/6 with 5 blocks. 40/15/3 with 5 blocks. 32/20/3 with 5 blocks. 33/14/4 with 4 blocks.
02 Playoffs- 21/10/11 with 5 blocks. 34/25/4 with 2 blocks.
03 Playoffs- 40/15/7 with 1 block. 34/24/6 with 6 blocks. 32/20/6 with 7 blocks. 21/20/10 with 8 blocks (Those last two were in the Finals, maybe the ones I'm thinking of).

I know Shaq put up some godawfully great numbers back in the early 2000's too though...

81. I hate Kobe, but he put on the greatest show any of us have ever seen.

I would actually have to say that spree Kobe went on when he scored 50+ points for 4 games straight!
sick.gif
and I think the fifth game, he scored just 30 something... but still

Kobe's 81 was bananas though, I still feel Kobe's 81 > Wilt's 100

81 and the team needed every one of those pts. i remember betting on the lakers and i was angry because they were down to the raptors and dude started to do work, especially in the second half

it was the same day as the nfl playoffs, dude stole the lead story
