There's a massive virus tearing through my computer..

It doesn't let me access the internet or any important computer files. Everytime I try to, this shows up..
[File name]
The NTVDM CPU has encountered an illegal instruction.

I'm using my boys computer at the moment. Any help would be highly appreciated. Thanks a lot.

There's a massive virus tearing through my computer...pause.

i'd help you but this is the worst, most unnecessary use of "pause" i've ever seen...

actually i don't know how to help you - but i'm guessing the cause of it all is bad karma for using that term wrong.

well... okay, i changed my mind... you could try google instead of NT, figure out how to start your computer up in safe mode and then do a system restore.

you're welcome.

Yep, you're done, sorry man.

Download AVG and Malwarebytes onto a usb drive and go into safe mode on your comp install and run...

I actually agree with you after re-reading it.

Anyways, I'd get a mac if I had the money. And I might have to restore it.

1. RESTART THE COMPUTER & WAIT FOR THE DELL/COMPAQ/ GATEWAY SCREEN TO COME UP
2. I FORGET WHICH F BUTTON IT IS BUT I THINK U HAVE TO PRESS AND HOLD F4 (TRY EM' ALL!) AS SOON AS YOU SEE THE SCREEN WITH THE MANUFACTURER'S NAME.
3. THEN SELECT WORK IN SAFE MODE WITH NETWORKING
4. LOOK FOR A SITE THAT HAS A VIRUS SCANNER + CLEANER AND EGT RID OF THAT NASTY THING!

Got this from another forum...
