*_Protein shake before or after a workout?_*

I usually drink my protein shake within 15 minutes after my workout. But after talking to a friend, he recommended me to drink it before the workout instead.Not really to sure about this though. Only reason I'd consider it is because I NEVER know what to eat before a workout in the morning [any help would beappreciated by the way]. Anyways, would you recommend me to drink it before or after?
 
I can't drink a protein shake, pre workout. It makes me feel full, and I will burp it throughout my workout,

I usually eat a PB&Banana sandwich on Whole Wheat before my workouts....or Special K with Strawberries.
 
depends what you;re trying to do.

on the days i work out, i drink before and after gym and once more before i hit bed
 
Usually post. If you got the money you can mix the protein shake with muscle milk. The muscle milk takes longer to break down and be absorbed into your bodywhich is good for sustained energy while the regular protein powder is used up by your body very quickly.
 
I can't down a shake right before a workout. Feelin' it come back up is the worst.

After. I usually eat a meal after I work out and then have a protein shake sometime after the meal.
 
Protein shake post workout. (within 30 min but the sooner the better)

MRI Black Powder preworkout.
 
I usually do a protein bar before workout, and a protein shake after.

Then a scoop of protein in a homemade lofat milk based fruit smoothie before bed.
