Remember this guy?

Ryan is a musician who has OCD for no reason, he believes. One of Ryan's rituals is to do things repeatedly. He checks his car doors to make sure that all doors are locked. As he begins to walk away, he returns to check again. Before using the restroom, Ryan performs a ritual for fear that his hands will get dirty. Although he is a talented artist, Ryan feels that OCD prevents him from doing his music on tour. He has not sought treatment.

Well, he's back. Tonight on A&E with the same problems...

He's back almost 4 years later.

Is OCD that serious? I understand having routines and stuff but kissing your dog on the head? Tearing endless toilet paper? Touching fridge handles? Really?

Just thought some of you dudes would remember the MTV episode so there's tonights shows info...

OCD can be very, very debilitating yes. It's not something I'd want to live with and very few medications work, it's almost all behavioral therapy

one thing is to like wear your lucky socks to a game but this guy has a problem. I seen some dude talk to himself trying to go through Lucky's door. Hewouldnt go in until he was satisfied with the way he roll his bike in. It was funny how he kept on trying and how the automatic door would shut then close

I might have it

I play with/"juggle" syllables nonstop. It's heard to explain but basically I hear something and add on words to the point where the emphasiswould go on the third to last syllable..and continuously stack words to where the 7th 11th 15th etc etc syllables receive emphasis while the four syllables inbetween receive emphasis on the first out of four.... can't stop this $%!+

I'm ADHD "severe" so you can see what kind of time that ^ kind of BS takes up in my mind instead of focusing on the normal.

yes this man speaks the truth. it's pretty much behavioral therapy. basically OCD is called tht because people have incessant thoughts or"obsessions" and must perform ritualistic behaviors or "compulsions" to relieve their anxiety. it is pretty bad because some of theserituals are very time-consuming and interfere with peoples' daily lives.

Anyway, i'll be watching. I do little rituals here and there but i don't think i have it, yet OCD intrigues me.

come in with the milk
come in with the milk
come in with the milk

the way of the future, the way of the future, the way of the future...

Spoiler [+]
real talk though, i think I have a mild case since I do little rituals and do things over and over and what not. But I think most people have at least a slight case

like when i walk on the sidewalk i try to put one foot on each block i be striving for it

I GUESS I can relate to that. I used to have a thing where on each street "tile" i'd count each step by 2's except the first and last.

Does that count?

Did anyone watch the episode?

I have ocd when it comes to cleanliness.

I change my sheets/pillow cases everyday
Mop the house 5-6 times a day
shower 3-4 times day. more in the summer.
i wash my face every half hr

i'm a mess

I think i have this i tend to repeat stuff ten times for example if i dont do it right i think its not fair for my right hand to touch something so i have itdo it 10 times then my right hand does it again i do this for everything even when i talk or walk

You know every male has a chance of getting ocd until the age of 25.

1 in 40 people have ocd

Im reading a book on it right now, and it pretty serious. Ocd wasnt really looked in until about 1980s, theres huge progress.

name of the book?

I barely have any type of obsessive compulsive. The only thing I have trouble with is the stuff on my dresser and how things around me have to be clean inorder for me to be really comfortable. I adapt well tho, and I don't publicly/visually make a big deal out of it. But in my mind I'll keep thinkin'about it until somethin' gets done.

Ive had OCD since I was probably about 13 years old. Im 20 now and have gotten it under control but when I was in my early teens I couldnt get away from doingspecific rituals. (spinning in a circle before entering a car, touching random things three times are some of the many) But sadly OCD is one of those thingsyou will never fully get over.
