At Startup My computer takes way to Long. I clicked on the task manager and proceeded to go to processes, to see that i had a whole bunch of processes openwithout my permission. A majority of these processes run automatically and i don't want em 2. Is there any way to choose what processes i want when mycomputer starts up

If Ur Running Xp

Start > Run> Type msconfig And Go To The Tab Services And Uncheck Wat U Dont Want To Run On Startup

yes.

of course, since you didn't list your operating system, i'll assume you're using Windows XP.

to limit the number of applications running at startup:

click START
click RUN
type MSCONFIG

put a check in the SELECTIVE STARTUP box, then click the STARTUP tab, and remove the checks from anything you don't want to run at boot.

you can also limit the amount of services that run at start up by right clicking MY COMPUTER, and clicking MANAGE.

click the plus [+] next to SERVICES and APPLICATIONS
then click SERVICES

from there, you can disable any serives you don't want running.

^^^ You better do a virsus/spyware scan plus delete alot of things off your computer or a good ol wipe
