Dude doesn't get the love he deserves on here.

A living legend. In my top 3, and at times my favorite rapper of all-time. Probably the greatest rapper alive IMO.

From his work with the legendary Juice Crew to his solo work...

Road to Riches
Wanted: Dead or Alive
Live and Let Die

(the greatest first 3 albums in hip hop history ?)

4,5,6
Roots of Evil
Giancana Story

(last two attempts are not really worth mention)

His influence is unquestionable. He was a major force in developing the whole Mafioso/Gangster theme in hip-hop. Countless rappers credit their styles to KoolG. When it comes to rapid multi-syllable rhymes, an almost flawless flow, great storytelling, vivid imagery and attention grabbing delivery few if any haveever did it as well as him.
