Hey NT, Can someone please explain to me how this works. Say you want to transfer schools, and you applied to multiple Colleges. As different colleges startsending your acceptance letters at different times, can I put their offer on hold, while I wait to hear from other colleges before accepting? And what isactually consider accepting, is it paying the nonrefundable fee? Also, Is there a time period they give you to reply back to confirm your going? In short, forexample. Say you got accepted to your 2nd choice school, but your still waiting to hear from your 1st choice school but you obviously don't want to rejectthe 2nd choice because you might not get into your 1st choice. What do you do? Sorry, I'm just a bit new to this.

Thats why the deposit is non-refundable, sending deposit=I'm coming. However, if you were to send in the money and then be accepted to a school you prefermore then you can contact the school to tell about the change of plans. You won't get your money back, but they can't make you attend their school.

This...

Also, just be careful with early-decision college applications. These are binding, and if you are accepted you areobliged to attend that school/

Colleges realize that you might be waiting so they give you a deadline for accepting their offer. You have until then to formally accept & start theprocess. Their acceptance process should be somewhere on their website and the date is usually sometime in the spring. I would advise you to not pay anythinguntil you are 100% certain that you will be attending. You also can always call their admissions department for information. Good Luck!
