Adding a Spoiler to a Post

Hi everyone...I did a search of the forum and found that to add a spoiler you do

It wont work for me though.
For example:

it wont work

Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong?  Sorry if this is a post I shouldn't have made, I'm pretty new to the forums.

just use the link at the top of the screen if you want something easy, it looks like a quote box

Spoiler: not a spoiler: or is it!

you can change the text in it

or get fancy with it

The thing I think you're missing is that it has to equal something, kinda like using an Excel formula you start out with "=" to add your formula, similar idea here.

you do it like

Spoiler: (insert random words)

SPOILER=whaterver you type] put your spoiler info here /SPOILER] just make sure you put your [ open bracket in front of SPOILER & the /SPOILER

He wrote his example which all looks pretty good.
So I don't think he's doing anything wrong.

Might be some other setting he has to change.
There is also a shortcut for spoilers but I don't really know it.

The equal part isn't needed, but it looks like OP just has to remove the spaces.

Does your post box look like this?

Then you highlight the post you want to spoiler and press that black box next to the paperclip
