Samples from rappers actually got me into Adele (Hometown-Big Sean & Hometown Hero-Big KRIT) ... I listened to Hometown Glory & fell in love with her music. 21 is classic.

Then I saw her performance at the VMA'S and I just had to check this lady out...

I can't even think of anything that would contend honestly. She has all the mainstream radio hits/fans along with the elitists and "music heads" on her bandwagon. That combo always = album of the year.
