Tell me more about this VAT refund? I just ordered two pair from a Euro site.

You just have to email Customer service and ask if they remove vat at checkout or refund it after payment. Only some european retailers do this, others automatically remove it at checkout

i just tested Adidas Canada. I splashed for about 3 seconds and it let me atc easily.

I think the notifications are just leftover from when they still planned to drop on the app. And this crash shows they probly made the right call moving to online release, this app is laughable.
