Do Adidas Pro Models fit true to size ?      Are they heavy ?

Are they good for indoor basketball ?

I haven't tried the newest Pro Models yet, but I doubt they're that dramatically different from older models.  They fit true to size and they weigh about 15oz. to 16oz. in a size ten, so comparable to the KDIIs, just slightly heavier.  They play fine indoors, the traction holds up reasonably well unless on a really dirty floor.  The fit is alright, not ideal.  Cushioning is minimal (in a bad way) but the shoes themselves are cheap anyway so that's acceptable.  The best part about the Pro Model is its durability by far, they're able to take quite the beating both indoor and out and can last you quite a while.
Overall, the shoe isn't grade A quality, but you're not paying grade A price anyhow.  A great $30-$60 buy.

Edit:  I do know that the newer Pro Models feature the puremotion pods of the Supernatural line though.  Those probably reduce their durability outside dramatically compared to older models, as the pods are made of a softer rubber and have shallow treads.  So if you know you're going to use them as beaters outdoors eventually, I'd get one of the older models.

these shoes seem to be very popular, I might need to get a pair and try them out to see what the buzz is all about.

^I disagree.

The biggest strength (and criticism of the Pro Model 2010) that BlueMagick brought up was the durability.

Have you looked at the outsoles of the XX2? Those wouldn't last very long for continuous indoor/outdoor play. Also, the shoe itself is somewhat awkward. The courtfeel was strange for me, with the heel placement of the air pod as well as the placement of the forefoot pods. I sold them soon after picking them up.

I couldn't comment on the Pro Models 08 because I haven't played in them. I can say that I know an older baller who has played in them and swore by them.

I'd like to point out that while the outsole of 2010 Pro Model won't be as durable outdoors as the older models, they'll be absolutely fine if TC only plans to play indoors.  I've had my Supernatural Creators for about half a year now and they're going strong with virtually no wear because I only use them indoors.  Plus, the retooled outsole most likely makes the 2010 Pro Model a better performer than older models.  The shoe is a bit pricey for a Pro Model though ($85 I believe).

^$80 for the Pro Model 2010. Details of the performance can be found in the kicksology forum on iss, look for a thread by Nene. I've seen some pairs go for around $50-60 on ebay.

I have the SuperCreators too, and I wouldn't even think about using them for continuous outdoor use. Now that I think about it, I hardly play outdoors anyway.

Spend those couple of extra bucks, and get the Pro Model 2010, the fit's better, they're a lot lighter, they have a partial PureMotion setup, more padding, a softer, snugger(but still as supportive) fit, all in all they're revamped, and juiced up in 2010, really brought up to date to the PureMotion principals.

Usually I'm not a fan of the Pro Model, but the 2010's really changed my mind about them.

For outdoor use there's really no shoes made today that'll hold up well, so just get the cheapest you can get, beat 'em into the ground, and get new ones.

Thanks for the responses, I'll check out the 2010 models.     I think the Kansas Jayhawks use them this season
