Yes its better to try on in person but I find knowing the measurements of the jeans help. I know my measurements and the measurements of the jeans depending on how I want the cut to be. Bottom line is if you know the measurements you should be fine.

learn how to sew ffs, dont expect $50 levis to fit like 500+ slp lol. Most denim is tailored anyways, and mostly included in price when you pay hundreds for your denim
