just a heads up for anyone that may have this same issue:

I used acetone and a rag and the highlighter yellow color came off. Had to do a little bit of scrubbing but it didn’t affect the rubber at all.

Rubbing alcohol works as well. I had some black spots on the bottom of my ZEBS and 93% worked no problem. Make sure you use a white rag. The color of the rag might bleed otherwise.

Welp decided to use the eBay coupon and got a pair of used turtle doves for a little over $300. The plan is to deep clean them with the RESHOEVN8R laundry system, strip and repaint the soles with my air brush, and then throw some sole protectors on. At $300 I can mess around with these and unload them if I don’t like how they turn out

depending on condition youd be surprised at the steals you can find on used kicks.

i Bought used 350 v2 greens that looks barely used with a great condition box for $315. With a little clean up with disinfectant, it beats paying full resale/price

There are several videos on YouTube that compare real vs. fake. Would say to check those out since the fakes are really good. Main differences I’ve seen is the mid sole either being more or less translucent and a specific pattern where there are three gray ‘specs’ and the lowest one is actually under the midsole on the authentic pairs and above it on the fakes. Yours looks to be under. Here’s your pic with what I’m talking about circled. Hope this helps.

do you have a photo of the heel area of the shoe ? that and the height of the ankle area are usually a dead give away for fake 380s..

300 for a project that I enjoy doing. I get a pair of kicks at the end of it if I’m satisfied with the job, if not I get $100 of free money if I choose to unload.

I’ve already got a whole paint set up for my other hobbies. If they come out looking new at the end of the process I come out a head, considering what the going rate for turtle doves are now a days, used or otherwise.

it means if I want turtle doves, and I enjoy the restoration process 300 for a restoration candidate is better than paying 600,700, or 800. If there wasn’t a whole process attached to it, I agree, $300 for a used shoe isn’t worth it. But the fact that I’ve already stated I’m attempting a restoration and that even in this condition I can still make a profit off what I paid, not sure what the issue is. Even a pair of restores turtle doves could fetch $600+

i ordered a pair of creams used with that ebay discount and i'll clean them up and then i plan on painting them, not sure what theme i'm going to ultimately go for but leaning mostly towards an all red look, so i can understand getting used for projects, i paid 224 when it was said and done

im with you 100%, but in his defense ive seen beat pairs of yeezy 1s and yeezy 2s go for $1000+.. could be a major come up if he brings those back to life lol.
