i dont think thats true for everyone. for me, i dont want want my shoes to outshine my fit and vice versa. there's absolutely a pretty wide area between bone dry shoes are the only thing that stand out, and trend setter high fashion. theres a lot of room to be basic and still wear kicks you feel are dope. but thats just me
