But my gf and I don't really have any problems that have physical evidence (such as cleaning.)
She gets mad at me when I drink/smoke, I get frustrated with her when we have the room to ourselves and she invites her study buddies over.

Tell me about it. My ex used to use every chance she could get to argue over something. I hate arguing so I'll take the L just to keep it moving, butthis chick was on some "It's rude to just end a conversation with a 'you got it' or a 'you're right'. I would stand there with a

But after awhile I get tired of arguing regardless of who's right or wrong so
I just let it go or say "ok" to shut the person up.

sometimes you just gotta swallow ya pride and do whats for the betterment of the relationship. As long as you're not the one doing it ALL the time.
Nobodys perfect, and people make mistakes. It just depends on your decision when you think of which you would rather have: ya pride in tact or for this personyou supposedly care about to lose respect for you.
You shouldn't be in a relationship where you argue ALL the time anyway.
But relationships are give and take. And anyone who says they would rather keep their pride over frivolous disagreements than someone special, are too selfishto be in a relationship with anyone other than themselves anyway.

I'm one of those guys who don't take no crap from the opening tip. I make sure they know that I'm highly opinionated, and I'm not foolishenough to argue an opinion without a list of facts backing it up. But to avoid most arguments in the first place, I just don't talk much.
