Yes Macintosh's are vulnerable to attacks just like PCs, they aren't super godlike computers. Apple owns ~ 10% of the worldwide market share, hackers/adware programmers don't want to waste their time on designing something that will affect 100 million people, when they can get the other 900 million users. As Apple expands, iOS and MacOsX will slowly become more and more vulnerable to attacks. Just be smart about what sites you goto and protect your computer before you get any viruses. Same reason you wear a condom.
