Don't worry, they'll use this release flopping as a way to justify putting 1s in the vault for a long while even though all they had to do was actually give people what they want.

Was thinking they were going to give us a L&F/recent UNC smooth leather with typical AJ1 Hi OG cut. But this, a remake of the ‘17 pair? Is nuts .

I thought they would at least release the 2013 pair in the new mold but they instead retroed the 2017s?

Sadly AJ 1 OG Highs have become a popular outlet staple now. Discounted pairs bring people into the Nike outlets so they are basically using them as outlet/factory store bait.

The AJ1 fall off from 2020-2021 needs to be studied.

Do we all agree that the '01s were the best Royals/Bred 1s OAT? Those were something special and I miss my pairs. I still got a pair of the '11 Banneds though.

01s were damn near mids, and had that crappy nubuck swoosh that cracked like crazy.

I might be on my own here, but 01s are definitely not the best royal retro we’ve gotten.

Those were a unique retro, I especially liked the tongue material on that one it wasn't like your traditional OG high nylon tongue.

Materials on the V2 mold seem to be getting worse, although that might have more to do with them moving production to Indonesia.

I hate to say it but the 2017 looks better. I know I'm gonna get these on discount tho so it is what it is.

I really need to get rid of the reimagineds now I'm never gonna run through all these royals.
