It’s not even nitpicking. If you had any of the og’s then you most likely know the specific details that made those shoes special. Because you obsessed over them as a kid or young adult whenever you got them. Not having those details or JB specifically taking them away is disingenuous as a brand selling to its consumers.

Nike can scan the air 180 to get it as close to the og as possible but these Jordan retros cant get that same treatment when they sell millions upon millions more pairs? Nike has made a significant effort to get their retros of their retro running models as close as possible to their og’s. Just look to the air max 95 neon as the latest example among many others( am90, air 180, tech challenge 2, ambw, am 1, am 97, etc.)

The Jordan sig is JB and Nikes halo product.( along with their marathon shoes) All retros should be as close to the og as possible. Period.

So far I enjoy seeing JB coming out with remastered and OG retros I am a 90’s kid so I didn’t really get a chance to see the kicks until early 2000’s I find it awesome how they release new OG remakes giving us boomers a chance to feel Js in their original form

Seeing the opportunity to feel the WC4’s or the 10’s with its OG aesthetics feels really cool for the moment

It's 1000% clear why jordan wanted the toe cap removed. Way cleaner and much better looking without it.

At any rate it looks like they re-worked the toe box to make it less bulky…I really dig how they kept it closer to OG with the material usage too…Specifically that they gave the upper a slight tumble on the leather but used a smooth leather on the mudguard and toe cap…
